A Taste of the English Countryside Awaits You at The Dandelion in Rittenhouse Square

December 5, 2013

Featuring a seasonal, modern take on traditional British fare, The Dandelion, located just a short distance from Rittenhouse Claridge, is a gastropub from restaurateur Stephen Starr. One of the biggest draws of this Rittenhouse Square restaurant is its charming, cozy dining and bar areas, made to look to like you're eating in a real London pub or a bed and breakfast in the English countryside. You can even enjoy a menu devoted to afternoon tea, which is served seven days a week from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

As for the food, stand-outs include the warm roast beef sandwich on sourdough bread, the classic lamb shepherd's pie, and the porcini risotto. Save room for the sticky toffee pudding, and be sure to pair your meal with any of The Dandelion's many craft brews, which rotate frequently.

The Dandelion serves brunch on the weekends, along with a family-style roast on Sundays.
