North Bowl is not your parents’ bowling alley. You should be able to guess that just from its location in Northern Liberties. But once you actually step inside, there’s no question. The 21,000-square-foot alley boasts colorful lanes and chic lounges, a far cry from the alleys of years past.
Make the short drive from Rittenhouse Claridge to North Bowl to claim one of the alleys and experience everything this beloved local business has to offer. Grab a cocktail at the bar on the lower level, where the lanes are also situated, and sip it in between turns. Or take a break from bowling to grab a meal in the dining area. The food is a far cry from the popcorn and hot dogs you’d expect while bowling. Crunchy ramen Asian noodles embellish salads and braised beef oozes from wonton tacos in the restaurant area. So if you’re up for a night that’s a departure from your typical bar-hopping, head to North Bowl.
