It's only fitting that Wawa sponsors Philly's multi-faceted Independence Day celebration. There's nothing more American than grabbing a Wawa hoagie, spreading out a blanket on the lawn, and watching fireworks with your friends and family. That's exactly what you can do at the Party on the Parkway Festival & Wawa Welcome America Concert & Fireworks on July 4th—but the fireworks are just the cherry on top of a day-long festival.
The Party on the Parkway kicks off at noon the Wednesday of Independence Day. You'll know it's starting because food trucks will line up along the Ben Franklin Parkway, live music will fill the air, and you'll find lots of games, beer gardens, and even a zip line. Then at 7 p.m., Pitbull takes the stage at the center of the Parkway along with the Philly POPS Big Band for some patriotic performances before the signature fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. The fireworks will crack open over the Philadelphia Museum of Art, so you'll be able to spot them from all over the city.
