Change is in the Air at Rittenhouse Claridge

July 5, 2013

We’re really excited about changes that are underway at the Rittenhouse Claridge, both inside and outside. We wanted to share what’s happening with you.

  • The exterior planters have been re-designed to feature an entirely new look for the building.  Old, overgrown hedges that blocked light and views to the park from within the lobby are being re-placed.  New, seasonally interesting ornamental grasses and perennials are being installed to create a unique approach to urban landscaping.  The new plants were selected because they require less water than typical shrubs. They will be a tapestry of color and texture, allowing light into the lobby and views out to the park. The new water efficient landscaping will reduce the need for irrigation.  Planters that reflect the character of the building will be installed soon near the entrance to the building and filled with seasonal color accent plants.
  • The interior of the lobby is being updated. Coming soon: new décor, furniture and planters.! A “river” of chartreuse Pothos ivy in the raised planter will accent the view to the park.
  • The roof terrace has new, contemporary, comfortable lounging furniture and tropical planters.  Paint has transformed industrial pipes and vents, and a new fence screens direct your view to the amazing view to the Philadelphia skyline.

As always, we welcome your feedback, so feel free to call or email us and tell us what you think about Rittenhouse Claridge’s transformation.
