Smith Memorial Playground
This playground, which is located in the East Fairmount section of Philadelphia, covers more the 6.5 acres and includes more than 50 pieces of playground equipment. The playground is designed for children ages 10 and younger, and encourages the youngsters to be active, social, and creative.
Philadelphia Zoo
The 42-acre zoo houses more than 1,300 animals, including many that are rare or endangered. Make your way to the KidZooU section, which is geared toward the little ones. The kids can learn about animals as well as the zoo's recycling and conservation initiatives.
Please Touch Museum
While most museums are meant for looking and not touching, that is certainly not the case here. The Please Touch Museum encourages children to drive, build, climb on, and explore every exhibit. Check out the exhibits such as the interactive neighborhood, the Flight Fantasy exhibit, and the mazes.
