Locals know that one of the best ways to welcome the spooky season is with a trip to the Eastern State Penitentiary. It once housed some of the country’s most notorious criminals—and many of them come back to life when the now-defunct prison transforms into a haunted house for Terror Behind The Walls. If you’re interested in something slightly less spooky, check out Jack’s Pumpkin Glow in Fairmount Park. Artfully carved pumpkins line the pathways in the park, illuminated by flickering lights and complemented by seasonal food and drink.
