This June, the City of Brotherly Love celebrates a trending culinary pairing: bacon and beer. The Philadelphia Bacon and Beer Classic comes to The Piazza at Schmidt’s Commons on Saturday, June 10th. Tickets start at $39 for 2.5- or 3-hour unlimited tasting slots, including a complimentary tasting glass.
That should give you plenty of time to sample a good handful of brews from the selection of more than 50, all created by craft breweries from around the Philly region. Local chefs provide the inventive bacon-based dishes, which go far beyond the diner bacon you might be envisioning. In between bites and sips, play giant Jenga or cornhole and compete in a bacon-eating contest at this spring’s Philadelphia Bacon and Beer Classic.
