PHS Meadowbrook Farm in Jenkintown will make the journey into the heart of the city for the Rittenhouse Flower Market on May 4th and 5th. The farm fills Rittenhouse Square with beautiful blooms from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, making it easy for city dwellers to grab all of their gardening essentials.
Come out to the free market to pick up a plant or two, or just to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The tables set up by PHS will bear everything from flowering annuals, which will sit nicely in a window box or planter, to herbs for your windowsill garden in the kitchen. You’ll also find sturdy perennials that can cope easily with extra shade, succulents and cacti that require very little attention to thrive, and many other plants perfect for indoor spaces.
