Leasing Information

We’re delighted you are considering Rittenhouse Claridge as your new home. Here’s what you need to know to get started.

Upfront Costs

Non-refundable application fee.

Non-refundable fee to hold an apartment.
(applied to your security deposit or move-in costs when you move in)

a one-time amenity fee at move in.

Security Deposit

Based upon credit check, your options will vary:
Fully Approved Applicants will require a security deposit of 1 month’s rent, returnable at the end of your lease.
Conditional Approvals will be directed to obtain a security deposit coverage policy for a one-time fee, through our partners at The Guarantors.  Typically this one-time, non-refundable policy fee is approximately 50% of 1 month’s rent, and covers you for the length of your lease and any renewals at Rittenhouse Claridge.

Other Details

We offer leases from 2 to 22 months for unfurnished apartments. Note that rents vary depending on the lease term, and are usually higher for short-term leases.

We offer fully & partially furnished apartments for an additional fee.

We allow pets. Click here to learn about our pet policy and pet fees.

All leaseholders must be 21 years or older.

Application Requirements

This apartment community provides an equal housing opportunity for all people. Criteria to qualify for residency include:

– Proof of identification

– Gross income of at least 3 times the amount of rent

– Proof of income

– Verification of current positive credit payment history

– No disqualifying criminal felony or misdemeanor offenses, in compliance with all local, state, and federal screening laws

Upon investigation and verification of the information provided, our 3rd party screening company will provide a recommendation regarding an approval or denial of residency. In the event that a majority, but not all, of the requirements above are met, a conditional approval will require application with our third-party deposit insurance partner, The Guarantors.  The Leasing Office will provide the application instructions and assist you with our custom options available through The Guarantors.


Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a door person or concierge desk staff?

Yes, we have both a 24-hour front door person and 24-hour concierge desk staff on site.

Do you rent to undergraduate students?

Unfortunately, Rittenhouse Claridge does not rent to undergrads.

What days can I move in?

Rittenhouse Claridge allows move-ins 7 days a week. Please call the leasing office at 215-546-2525 for availability.

What utilities are included in your rent?

Electric, gas, water, heat, air conditioning are all included in your monthly rent.

Where are you located?

We are located in the Rittenhouse neighborhood of Center City, Philadelphia, right on the corner of 18th and Walnut Street and directly across from Rittenhouse Square. Our exact address is 201 South 18th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.

What are your office hours?

The leasing office is open:
Mon-Fri: 9am – 5pm
Sat: 11am – 3:30pm

What are your pet restrictions?

We happily welcome your dog or cat to our community. There is a one-time $500 non-refundable pet fee at move in. There are no other fees thereafter. Please note some dog breeds are prohibited.

How much is your security deposit?

Typically, your security deposit is equivalent to one month’s rent, or may require a bond with our security deposit partner, The Guarantors.
