Our Story and team
Three Generations
In 1976, the year of the U.S. Bicentennial, Ken Kaiserman, the second generation, was one of the founders of the Friends of Rittenhouse Square, the office of which is still housed today at the Claridge. In anticipation of the U.S. bicentennial, the Friends of Rittenhouse Square was established by local businessmen to maintain and beautify this “perfect square,” designed by Paul Cret in 1913. Today, the Claridge reaps the benefit of these efforts as the square has become the beautiful and joyful place where residents congregate to meet with friends, walk dogs, shop at the local farmer’s market and enjoy the elegant gardens and trees throughout the changing seasons.
With the third generation, Homer Robinson, grandson of Kevy, had the vision to update the building with many of the renovations that our residents enjoy tody. Employing the talents of local architecture firm, Digsau, and interior designer, Laura Kaiserman Dupouy, granddaughter of daughter of Ken Kaiserman, this vision celebrates the building’s mid century modern design and aesthetic in a new and contemporary way. Come and experience it for yourself!
