Before Brauhaus Schmitz holds its annual Oktoberfest on September 16th, Philadelphians can warm up for the day of drinking at the week-long Oktoberfest Liter Lift Qualifiers 2017. From Tuesday, September 12th through Friday the 15th, Brauhaus Schmitz will host nightly events to get everyone in the Oktoberfest spirit.
It kicks off with Game Night on Tuesday. Brauhaus’s owner teams up with a local comedian to host hilarious trivia, Guess the Music Album, and a game dubbed Joe Gunn Reads German. On Warsteiner Winner Wednesday, patrons can enjoy Warsteiner beers at a discount and enter the contest for a chance to win a German goodie basket. Thursday promises the liter lift competition, and Kick the Keg Friday challenges customers to finish off the keg of whatever they’re drinking. Anyone who does will win an Oktoberfest Survival Kit with tickets to the fest, a glass beer stein, and other fun extras. The weekly events are free to attend, so don’t miss out!
