Eat Outside the Box at Memphis Taproom, Not Far From Rittenhouse Claridge in Philadelphia

October 2, 2014

Memphis Taproom manages to merge two beloved things — beer and brunch — organically. Visit this Kensington eatery, not too far from Rittenhouse Claridge, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday to enjoy its fun brunch menu.

Chefs reinvent breakfast classics by adding just a dash of whimsy and contemporary charm to each. Try their version of eggs Benedict—playfully named "Eggs Bednarik"—which consists of a pair of poached eggs on an English muffin with the classic hollandaise and an unexpected addition of kielbasa. The Weasel, on the other hand, presents eggs in an entirely different way: scrambled, and accompanied by cheese, chili, roasted potatoes, and toast.

Whether you order one of these brunch items or come for a dinner of chicken fried chicken or grilled flat iron steak, don't skip ordering a beer. Memphis' draft selection changes frequently, but sometimes you'll find its very own brews on the list of 18 craft beers (plus two from the cask).
