Every year, Wawa Welcome America hosts a big bash along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in celebration of Independence Day. The celebration actually kicks off a few days before the Fourth of July on June 29th with events like free museum days, a waterfront concert from the U.S. Army Band, and a final massive concert and fireworks display.
Pop powerhouses Jennifer Hudson and Meghan Trainor are headlining the concert this year, which will unfold along the Ben Franklin when it’s shut down on the Fourth of July. The two will belt out their pop hits and powerful ballads back to back, just before the big fireworks show. You don’t have to set up shop along the Ben Franklin in order to see the fireworks—they’re visible from practically anywhere in the city. The show kicks off at 9:30 p.m. on Independence Day and it’s free (like basically everything else on the Wawa Welcome America itinerary).
